CrN has
a lower range of internal stresses and is widely used as an
anti-wear coating. Coatings with thicknesses of over 40 µm
are routinely used in automotive applications.

Hardness: 2200 Vickers
Thermal Stability: 1100° F
Lubricity: 0.2-0.3 coefficient of friction
Recommended Applications: Carbon Steels, Aluminum, Aluminized
or Zinc Coated, Brass, 300 Series Stainless Steels.
Coating for forming applications: for molds and dies.
Optimum release for forming tools.
